There are moments where it slows down, letting you adjust your trajectory and prepare for the next gauntlet. Other than that it really is a matter of memorizing the course and knowing when to turn and what to prepare for. The best way to get through as fast as possible is to figure out Otus’ movement, which feels rather odd, especially when you move in sweeping curves. You likely won’t get every ring on your first try. It’s filled with sharp turns and goes by at a blisteringly fast pace. Mastering the course will take time, however. You can slightly adjust his direction, leading him from ring to ring.
His wings are tucked to his sides and the player’s control over him is limited. But they have the time to get the cannon working and set up an obstacle course of rings for Otus to work his way through.Īfter being shot from the cannon, Otus is essentially in a freefall. These strange rolling creatures are aids to the shopkeeper, their dialogue often offering humorous glimpses at their laborious lives. He later forgives him for this, and acknowledges him as a friend.In the town of Tropos in Owlboy, the adorable Boguins will open up a fun minigame using Tropos’ cannon. He understands that none of what happened was truly Twigs fault, and acknowledges this in game, but can't help but feel hurt that Otus would choose to trust Twig over his own intuition and feelings.
When Twig joined their team, he refused to have anything to do with him and teleported back to Vellie for a chunk of the game. Geddy hated Twig for how the troublemaker lured him and Otus away from the pirates, and blamed him for the fall of Advent. Otus is Geddy's best friend, hanging out with Geddy when both have no work left. Overall, however, he is goofy and friendly at heart and tries his best to encourage and cheer on those around him. He understands the logic of how and why he feels certain ways, but often can't stop himself from feeling that way. He grieves deeply even for those he doesn't know, and holds a mean grudge. Geddy wears his heart on his sleeve, easily excitable but just as easily hurt. He wears small, silver framed goggles and has a goatee.
Over the overalls he wears a thick brown belt holding his blaster gun and a small tan pouch. His boots are brown and ankle high, with a yellow flared cuff. Geddy is decked out primarily in green, with a buret-style-like hat, a long-sleeve shirt, and one-shoulder-sided overalls. He enjoys spelunking with Otus and has a taste for adventure, but is easily frightened. He wears the garb of a soldier but in peacetime his primary job is as Vellie's defense mechanic.
